Six Senses Fort Barwara is a sensitively restored 14th-century fort resort set within the Aravalli hills, roughly 30 minutes from Ranthambore National Park. Originally home to a Rajasthani royal family, the walled fort incorporates two original palaces and two temples, and its 48 suites are split between an East Wing overlooking the countryside and a West Wing facing Barwara village. Interiors combine hand-carved brass-accented doors, hand-knotted rugs and Shekhawati-inspired art with modern comforts, handmade mattresses and marble bathrooms. The resort places sustainability at the centre of its restoration, incorporating rainwater harvesting and discreetly placed solar panels, alongside a Six Senses Spa, aerial yoga pavilion, hydrotherapy area and two swimming pools.
The resort’s all-day dining venue, serving Mediterranean crudo, pan-Asian dishes, Indian comfort food and healthy salads.
A lounge bar serving classic cocktails and spirits within the historic fort setting.
Innovative finger food and light menus, served up poolside by our friendly and talented hosts. Watch the spectacle of flame-to-table cooking, using seasonal ingredients picked from the fort’s organic gardens.
