Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is a boutique urban sanctuary set in the historic heart of downtown Santa Fe — one of the most culturally rich cities in the United States. Born from a vision to honour the Ancient Ones, the hotel’s architects stepped back a thousand years into the mud and stone pueblos of the Anasazi people and returned with a design of quiet power and beauty. Blessed at an autumn equinox ceremony on September 23, 1990, with a medicine man, a Franciscan priest, and local artists present, the Inn was built using locally sourced natural materials on the framework of an older building, minimising environmental impact. From the moment guests step through hand-painted carved-wood doors, Santa Fe’s artistic and indigenous heritage makes itself known.

The hotel’s 58 rooms and suites are intimate and residential in character, adorned with hand-crafted furnishings, kiva fireplaces, four-poster beds, and locally commissioned artworks that reflect the layered cultures of the Southwest — Native American, Spanish Colonial, and the living artist colony that defines modern Santa Fe.
