Rosewood Hotel Georgia is Vancouver’s most storied luxury retreat — a meticulously restored Georgian Revival landmark that first opened in 1927 at the corner of Georgia and Howe Streets in the heart of downtown. Originally celebrated as the most glamorous hotel on Canada’s West Coast, its gilded halls once welcomed Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Katharine Hepburn, Nat King Cole, the Rolling Stones, and British royalty. Closed for restoration, it reopened in 2011 as Rosewood Hotel Georgia and was most recently reimagined again in 2024 by New York’s Lillian Wu Studio, unveiling refreshed rooms, revitalized culinary concepts, and a renewed sense of Jazz Age grandeur for a new era.
