Set in spiritual Siem Reap, Amansara acts as a key cultural hub in Cambodia’s most storied city, just ten minutes from UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat and within walking distance of the Cambodian royal family’s residence. A masterpiece of 1960s New Khmer architecture originally commissioned by King Norodom Sihanouk as a guesthouse, the residence today houses 24 contemporary Suites, a soaring circular dining room and a holistic spa. The original pool has been replicated amid tranquil, mature grounds, and many of the Suites feature private gardens and plunge pools. Custom-fitted remorks (motorised rickshaws) and vintage Jeeps whisk guests and their private guides to Angkor, where Amansara’s Khmer Village House provides respite and rustic meals within the archaeological complex.
Across a manicured lawn from the Suites and adjacent to the main swimming pool, the circular Dining Room has a soaring ceiling and shaded terrace, serving a menu of Khmer and international cuisine. Capacity is 35 seated, with an additional 16 seated in the pergola.
On the upper floor above the Dining Room, the Roof Terrace offers a seasonal venue for early or late evening drinks and private dinners.
A traditional wooden village house nestled amid Angkor’s ancient temples and lush jungle, where guests savour Khmer cuisine cooked over charcoal while soaking up peaceful views.
Overlooking an ancient rain tree and a reflection pond, the Aman Spa has four treatment rooms and an attached relaxation area, drawing on traditional Cambodian therapies and soothing organic products.
Guests can join rejuvenating sunrise yoga sessions on the Roof Terrace as part of Amansara’s wellness offering.
