Velaa Private Island Maldives is an owner-built, privately-owned luxury resort set on a turtle-shaped reef in the remote Noonu Atoll, roughly 190 km north of Male. Named after the Dhivehi word for turtle, the island’s circular villa boardwalk echoes the shape of its namesake.
