MMPRC launches “Experiences Live from Maldives” social media series

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC / Visit the Maldives) has launched a special communication series that brings live experiences from the Maldives to viewers from around the world. The series, entitled “Live Experiences from the Maldives”, is aimed at global audiences to engage and inform the realities that tourists can take part in the Maldives.

The series will be broadcast in 10 episodes (45-60 minutes each length) on Facebook and YouTube and shared with MMPRC social media channels including Weibo, WeChat (China), and other local social media platforms. -Japan and South Korea. Key markets targeted in this series include Australia, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Middle East, Russia, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Scandinavia, UK, and USA. The series will be broadcast from January 18 onwards.

With this new marketing program entitled “Live Feeling from the Maldives”, MMPRC will ‘deliver’ unique Maldives experiences, its colors, flavors and natural beauty, directly to viewers ’screens around the world. A series of selected live broadcast events will guide important tourism markets and is aimed at promoting dreams about tourism in the Maldives. Through this series, we also aim to inform tourists that the Maldives are a safe haven by highlighting the unique nature of our islands that allows for social isolation, making it one of the safest places in the world for holidaymakers. This series will teach guests the latest information about the place and travel available in our resorts, hotels, guesthouses and residences.

As a company responsible for marketing Maldives as a venue, MMPRC conducted 260 different marketing activities in 22 international markets last year, including exhibitions, street shows, acquaintances tours, marketing campaigns, webinars, and interviews. The greatest proof of the success of these activities came late last year, as the Maldives received the title ‘World’s Best Place’ (among a few other awards) at the 2021 World Travel Awards, which are internationally recognized as a symbol of industry excellence. This is the second year in a row that the Maldives have successfully won the title, which is a testament to the trust placed in the 'Maldivian hospitality' by travelers from all over the world. This year also celebrates a special year to visit the Maldives - a celebration of the Golden Jubilee tour of the Maldives that began early last year with plans to create new and exciting activities throughout the year. The MMPRC has organized 60 personal events by 2022, including 11 exhibitions, road shows and events scheduled for the first quarter.
