Leading Media Team from Germany arrives in the Maldives for Familiarization Trip

A media team from leading magazines and publications from Germany arrived in the Maldives on a practice trip under a joint campaign with Condor. The team will be staying in the Maldives from December 3 to December 7.

The media team consists of authors from well-known books and magazines among the richest audience in the German market and reaching billions of readers. The media team that visited the Maldives on this trip will be hosted on the SAii Lagoon Maldives and Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. During their stay, the media team will get to enjoy the world-famous Maldivian tourists as well as unique information.

Following the conclusion of the tour, the team will publish articles about the destination and the entertainment venues for the various magazines and books. The acquaintance tour offers the Maldives a great opportunity to promote the destination as a safe haven for travelers from the German market.

This is the second FAM tour organized by Visit Maldives this year in German markets. The trip is planned as part of the MMPRC marketing strategy in the German market. It aims to promote your destination as a safe haven, providing up-to-date information on tourist guides on tourist trade and potential travelers from Germany. The marketing strategy aims to promote resorts, hotels, guesthouses and accommodation, unique information available to visitors from these areas. From 1 January 2021 to 29 November 2021, a total of 1,153,013 tourists arrived in the Maldives. Germany ranks 3rd in the Maldives' top source market at the moment, accounting for 81,742 or 7.2% of all newcomers. The MMPRC has been holding a number of activities to market space in the German market throughout the year. These include joint marketing campaigns with participants, acquaintances trips, webinars, and participation in exhibitions and exhibitions.
