InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is a private-island retreat at the southern tip of Raa Atoll, adjacent to the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, reached by a 35-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport. Opened in September 2019, it was the first resort worldwide to extend Club InterContinental benefits to all guests across its 81 beach, lagoon and overwater villas and residences. The resort’s lagoon hosts a manta ray sanctuary, and dining spans six restaurants and bars alongside the overwater AVI Spa.
